6-Week Reliable Recall Training Program
Your journey to bulletproof recall begins with personalized foundation work and progresses to real-world testing in a supportive group environment.
Phase 1: Foundation Building (Weeks 1-3)
Two Individual Sessions
Your first two sessions are completely tailored to you and your dog, spaced over the initial three weeks to allow for practice and skill development between meetings. During these one-on-one sessions, we'll assess your dog's current recall level, identify any specific challenges, and build the fundamental skills needed for reliable response. You'll learn the core techniques, timing, and reinforcement strategies that form the backbone of solid recall training. These private sessions ensure you and your dog master the basics without distractions, setting you up for success before moving to more challenging environments.
Phase 2: Proofing & Real-World Application (Weeks 4-6)
Two Group Training Sessions
Once your foundation is solid, we move to controlled group sessions where the real magic happens. This is where we "proof" your dog's recall behavior - testing and strengthening their response around other dogs, people, and controlled distractions. In our carefully managed training environment, your dog will learn to respond reliably even when exciting things are happening around them. These group sessions simulate real-world scenarios while maintaining safety and control, giving both you and your dog confidence in various situations.
By combining personalized instruction with structured group practice, this program ensures your dog develops recall that works not just in your living room, but in the park, at the beach, and anywhere life takes you both.
Resilience conditioning teaches your dog peaceful coping strategies for stressful events and builds skills for faster emotional recovery. Through our relationship-centered approach, you'll develop a deep understanding of your dog's needs in any moment and learn how to guide them toward cooperative choices when they feel uncertain.
We use positive, science-based tools including precise timing, strategic reward placement, predictable patterns, and deep behavioral insights to create lasting change. These methods build reliable alternative behaviors that replace reactivity with confidence—changes that stick because they're built on trust, not fear.
You'll never see intimidation tools like choke collars, prong collars, or shock devices in our work. Instead, we focus on strengthening your bond while giving your dog the emotional framework they need to thrive.

Tried several trainers before, but Dog Nerds Behavior nailed it. His superior understanding of dog behavior and how to modify it with out using shock really turned things around for my spirited boxer. Worth it.
Opted to try something different from what everyone was telling me and clearly wasn't working for me or my dog. After just a month at Dog Nerds I have seen noticeable improvements. Quite satisfied with the process and results.
